HORIZON™ is an advanced lenticular technology that enables an ultra-thin 12 micron lens to deliver a dynamic and eye-catching series of contrast-switching movements. HORIZON™ uses the entire substrate depth making extraction or reapplication of the feature extremely difficult.
The construction of HORIZON™ involves three parts – the lens, the clear film and the printed image – utilising the entire depth of the banknote. As such, HORIZON™ cannot be substituted by a standalone imitation applied to the surface. Constructed using IP-protected methodology, the thin lens structure creates a significant technological barrier for counterfeiters.
DISTINCTIVE VISUAL IMPACT
Exclusive to Guardian™, HORIZON™ can be up to 20mm wide making it the largest lens-based feature available on the market. The design under the lens is distinctive as the image displays colour flips using white and another colour that is complementary to the offset colours on the banknote.
