Guardian™ successfully preventing counterfeits in Canada

Melbourne, Australia - After reaching its second anniversary in the Canadian economy, the Toronto Sun newspaper (8 February 2014) reports that Guardian™ polymer banknotes and associated security features have contributed to dramatically reducing the number of counterfeits passed.
Corporal Tim Laurence of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reports that there have been a total of only three counterfeit attacks on the currency, in Vancouver (175 pieces), Ontrio (3 pieces) and Quebec (1 piece). Cpl Laurence describes the counterfeit attempts as "crude".
