27 August 2013
Melbourne, Australia - Guardian™ has recorded strong market growth with the release in 2013 of nine (9) new denomination designs issued in a calendar year.
The record of 11 new denomination designs issued in a calendar year was set in 2006.
The nine new denomination designs are the Paraguayan 5000 Guaranies, the Mexican 50 Peso, the Canadian 5 and 10 Dollar, the Vanuatu 200, 1000 and 2000 Vatu and the recent launch of the Mauritius 25 and 50 Rupees.
“With more than 35 Billion Guardian™ banknotes issued, this year’s performance indicates that Guardian™’s ‘tried and tested’ reputation gained over 25 years of banknote use across a wide range of circulating and environmental conditions continues to gain recognition and provides a strong level of assurance amongst Central Banks,” says Innovia Security’s Director of Global Sales, Ian Stacey.
From 1988-2013, the average number of new denomination designs issued on Guardian™ has been slightly more than five per year.
