13 September 2013
Read the findings of a comprehensive 2010 study in which 1280 banknotes were obtained from food outlets in 10 different countries (including Guardian™ using nations Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico) and their bacterial content enumerated.
The presence of bacteria on banknotes was found to be influenced by the material of the notes, with Guardian™ banknotes shown to be carrying on average just 25% the amount of bacteria as compared to cotton-paper banknotes.
