CCL Secure establishes fund to help communities in Cumbria, England
14 November 2019
CCL Secure has launched a new charitable fund to support communities in Cumbria, the county where its Wigton site is based. Managed by the Cumbria Community Foundation, the CCL Secure Fund will provide grants to volunteer and community groups that help people facing disadvantage.
CCL Secure’s HR Manager, Mark Lancaster, said it is important for the company to give back.
“CCL Secure is committed to supporting the long-term sustainability of the local community. We are delighted to have entered into a partnership with Cumbria Community Foundation to help us achieve this goal. We are committed to supporting ideas and initiatives that will have an impact and ensure a positive legacy.
“The company is looking forward to building a long and successful partnership with the Cumbria Community Foundation and ultimately benefiting the lives of people in the county.”
Cumbria Community Foundation raises funds through donations given by individuals, families, businesses and charitable trusts to support smaller charities and volunteer groups.
The foundation’s Philanthropy Officer, Jenny Benson, said the partnership will make a real difference.
“We are delighted to be working with CCL Secure, who like many businesses in Cumbria are committed to finding ways to help their community.
“We know that small and local charities and voluntary organisations are the glue that holds communities together and Cumbria is unique in that it has a higher than average number of people who donate their time.”
